Meet the owners of Northern Electric, Inc.
Your commercial, industrial and residential electrical contractors
Tracy and Jim Conard founded NEI in 1992. Both being raised in entrepreneurial families, they knew early on they would be in business for themselves. Prior to founding NEI, Tracy furthered her education in college business schooling. She owned and managed several businesses. She received a diploma from the National Professional Electrical Program. Jim’s career started in the trades right out of high school. He served two electrical apprenticeships and quickly became a master electrician. Melding his experience, schooling and knowledge, Jim soon became a Wisconsin State Certified Electrical Designer. With their combined knowledge, skills and training, they set out on their own and incorporated NEI.
Over the years, Tracy and Jim have established a very well run company. They’ll tell you the key to their success is their people. Having more than 20 years of experience, most of NEI’s Division Managers have been promoted from within the company. Because of NEI’s emphasis on apprenticeships, training, and continuing education, more than 1/3 of our workforce are masters of their craft; state of Wisconsin tested and certified, Master Electricians. This greatly enhances the value-added aspect of our total capabilities.
NEI is a constantly evolving company, becoming even more accomplished in advanced technologies, achieving greater diversity in our work force and expanding our overall capabilities. Our integrated operations have grown to serve a wide spectrum of customers with diverse needs throughout the Midwest. We specialize in everything from basic electrical wiring to comprehensive design/build construction management. Interwoven in our growth are the long-term relationships we build with customers by helping them to achieve success.
As a leader in our industry, we will continue achieving success through customer satisfaction and employee fulfillment, with a commitment to teamwork, innovation, diversification and professionalism.
