Pre-Apprentice
Are you a high school student looking to gain knowledge and opportunities in the electrical industry? Northern Electric proudly provides these opportunities for individuals who are interested.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform material handling duties.
- Layout and install electrical components.
- Clean and maintain tools, equipment and job sites.
- Perform related duties as assigned.
Electrical Apprentice
Northern Electric provides electrical apprentices with the opportunity to earn while they learn. As an apprentice, you will be tasked with assisting in a variety of electrical systems installations. This scope of work ranges from residential, commercial and industrial to other electrical solutions.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assisting in electrical installations.
- Layout and install electrical components.
- Clean and maintain tools, equipment and job sites.
- Help to diagnose, repair, assemble and install various electrical components and systems.
- Perform related duties as assigned.
Service Electrician
At Northern Electric, a service electrician is tasked with repairing electrical equipment and systems in residential, commercial and industrial settings.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot electrical problems.
- Install new wiring and/or other components to fix the electrical problem.
- Material and equipment handling and recording.
- Perform related duties.
Journeyman Electrician
As a journeyman electrician at Northern Electric, you are responsible for leading the installation, repair and maintenance of electrical systems.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Layout and installation of electrical systems.
- Lead others around you and provide proper instructions on the installation of electrical equipment and solutions.
- Install new wiring and/or other components to fix the electrical problem.
- Material and equipment handling and recording.
- Perform related duties.
Healthcare Equipment Installer
Northern Electric’s unique Healthcare Equipment Installation division provides comprehensive on-the-job training. The responsibilities include serving within hospitals and healthcare facilities, coordinating equipment delivery, inventorying shipment, positioning equipment and final installation.
Primary duties and responsibilities:
- Layout and install electrical systems.
- Perform as a self-motivated team player.
- Comfortable with travel, changing hours and schedules.
