Houdini Plaza

In the spring and summer of 2013, Northern Electric partnered with The Boldt Company to expand and modernize Houdini Plaza in downtown Appleton. This renovation, led by City of Appleton, was conceived to accommodate the city’s weekly farmer’s market, concert series and ever-expanding special events.

The Northern Electric team installed new LED lighting that automatically dims to lower light levels when the plaza is occupied. Additional LED lights were also installed on the benches, six power pedestals and a large centerpiece water fountain to illuminate the public space with radiant color at night.
